Elephant
The Recycling Discovery Centre, which is a partnership between Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority and Veolia Environmental Services, aims to provide an innovative way to get everyone involved in recycling and learn about their environment. The centre can sort 250 tonnes of recycled material a day, equivalent to 59 elephants! Faith has created an Elephant (baby size!) made entirely of recycled materials, for the new Gillmoss Recycling Discovery Centre, in Liverpool. Veolia provided the recycled material for the sculpture, including flattened plastic bottles, aluminum and steel cans which are all processed at the site. A local school group helped Faith finish the elephant. Created May 2012.
