HEART OF GLASS
Heart of Glass is a collaborative and social arts agency based in Merseyside. They invited me to do a research residency working with the Buzz Club, a group of adults who meet regularly in St Helens. We harvested local willow then co-created willow structures together outside on site for growing plants on their allotment.
Following this short residency I’m working on a proposal with Heart of Glass to develop the work we have begun. Watch this space.
I also attended a Heart of Glass Introduction to Permaculture 3 day course led by Liz Postlethwaite, which they offered for artists and cultural workers to consider new ways of thinking about how they make work, collaborate with others, and respond to the world we’re living in. Permaculture is a way of designing projects, systems and ways of working so that they care for people, care for the earth, are fair, and regenerative over time. The course explored permaculture as a creative thinking tool and is certified by The Permaculture Association.
